Kellina Yarrish takes on the role of Head Field Hockey Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the Falcons beginning in the fall of 2015. Yarrish spent just under two years as the Assistant Field Hockey Coach at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa.
In her tenure at Cedar Crest her team has tied the most wins in a season at 10 in 2017, shutouts (2016) and goals in a season(2016) since 2012, most team goals in a season (2016), and least amount of goals in a season (2016) since 2009. Yarrish was also named the CSAC Coach of the Year in 2017, making her the third field hockey coach at Cedar Crest to recieve the honor.
Prior to Dickinson College, Yarrish served as the Assistant Field Hockey coach for two years at Keystone College after she finished her playing career. She brings an extensive coaching background, as former youth instructor at Central Penn Elite Field Hockey Club and she also served as a youth field hockey instructor at Riverfront Sports Complex in Scranton, Pa. Yarrish also spent one year as the assistant field hockey coach at Marywood University.
Yarrish is the Founder and Club Director for the Lehigh Valley Sparx. The Lehigh Valley Sparx is a developmental club that serves student-athletes’ in the Lehigh Valley with the club calling Bethlehem, Pa. home. She holds Level I and II Coaching certification with USAFH.
A native of Honesdale, Pa., she completed her Masters Degree in Education at Cedar Crest College in 2017. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology from Keystone College, where she was a tri-captain for the field hockey team. Yarrish currently resides in Bethlehem, Pa. with her goldendoodle Tyke.Â
