Allentown, PA - Thanks to a brief mental lapse just 3:53 into the game, Cedar Crest allowed the Giants of Keystone College to ride home with their CSAC undefeated record intact. The Giants' Laura Rosenkrans scored at that point off a nice feed from Hope Krolewski, and that was all the scoring on the day in what was an otherwise balance and competitive game.
The Falcons, shorthanded today, only got off four shots on goal to Keystone's nine, but Cedar Crest sophomore Lindsay Harrison (Hanover, PA/Littlestown) again came up huge in goal with eight saves in a full game in the cage. Cedar Crest led in penalty corners 8-4, but could not convert against the Giants' Melinda Moore. The Falcons' Catherine "OJ" Onjack, heroine of the recent stroke-off win over Wells, led the team in shots with three.
Cedar Crest is now 2-8 overall and 0-2 in the conference this season. Keystone is now 5-4 and stays undefeated in the CSAC at 3-0.
The Falcons next travel to Neumann for a conference match-up on Saturday, October 2nd, at 1:00 p.m.
