Center Valley, PA - DeSales University, off to its best-ever start to the season, showed no mercy to visiting Cedar Crest.
With six different players scoring goals, including one by the Bulldogs' Jamie Matthews to become DSU's all-time leading scorer, the hosts dominated the game, outshooting the Falcons 20-2 in the first half and 34-6 for the game. Sophomore Lindsay Harrison (Hanover, PA/Littlestown) was busy in the cage with 18 saves in a complete game. Given the disparity, Cedar Crest was surprisingly down just 2-0 at the half. But DeSales continued their attack and netted five in the second half to seal the win.
Cedar Crest is now 1-4 overall on the season, while DeSales remains undefeated at 4-0.
The Falcons will host non-league game Moravian on Monday, September 13, at 4:00 p.m.
