Scranton, PA - Cedar Crest ended their 2012 season on the road at Cabrini on Saturday with a 4-1 CSAC loss.

With two goals scored almost immediately, by the Cavs' Molly Chenot and the Falcons' Jenn Rittenhouse (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen), the game essentially started with a score of 1-1 and stalled there for some time. Although Cedar Crest struggled to get shots off, they were also able to prevent goals by Cabrini, largely through 10 saves by senior Daniella Mendez (Cedar Grove, NJ/Montclair Kimberly Academy). The Cavaliers finally slipped one by in the 42nd minute to take a 2-1 halftime lead.

Cabrini scored two more goals early in the second half to take a 4-1 lead, and eventually the superior depth of the Cavs (they played more than 25 players) took its toll.

Cedar Crest closes out the season 5-14-1 overall and 2-9 in the conference. Cabrini improves to 8-6-3 and 7-1-3 in the CSAC.
