Allentown, PA - Gwynedd-Mercy's Meghan Bojanowski put on a clinic against Cedar Crest on Tuesday, with 12 shots, seven on goal, four goals, and two assists in less than 56:00 of playing time en route to a 7-0 Griffin win.
The Falcons had no answer for Bojanowski, and found themselves camped on the defensive end most of the day. Gwynedd-Mercy scored four goals in the opening 25:00, including two by Bojanowski, to give them a 4-0 lead they held until halftime.
The senior then added two in the opening ten minutes of the second half before being substituted, with a Casey Gaughan goal in between, to lead to the 7-0 final.
The Griffins outshot the Falcons by a wide margin, as
Kortney Graff (Northampton, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) managed the only shot on goal for Cedar Crest.
Daniella Mendez (Cedar Grove, NJ/Montclair Kimberly Academy) had 13 saves in the game.
Cedar Crest is now 5-8-1 overall and 2-3 in the CSAC, and Gwynedd-Mercy improves to 5-7-2 and 2-2-2 in conference. The Falcons will attempt to get back on track with a non-conference game at home on Thursday, October 11th, at 4:00 PM against Penn State Berks.
