Box Score Allentown, PA (November 20, 2012) When most people are making their way home for the Thanksgiving Holiday, Cedar Crest and Arcadia University squeezed in a game, just so their players don't get too rusty over the long break. Arcadia's high octane offense rolled into Lees Hall Gymnasium and rolled out with a 101-44 victory over the undermanned and undersized Falcons.
Twelve members of the 14 players on the Arcadia roster scored a basket and thirteen recorded and rebound. To say it was a long night, is an understatement. Within all that the Falcons endured, sophomore
DeJanet Lantion (Silver Spring, MD/John F. Kennedy) chose tonight to play to her potential. She showed the athleticism and poise she hadn't shown in the three previous games of the season. Teammate junior
Amber Wehry (Klingerstown, PA/Tri-Valley Jr/Sr) was the team's second leading scorer with 11 points.
Arcadia took a 39-18 lead into half time. In the second half, the Knights continued to push the tempo and muscle their way around the basket, scoring 26 points in the paint for the game. The Falcons battled with Lantion shooting 8-10 from the free throw line and collecting seven rebounds. Wehry contributed four rebounds and a team high three assists. Despite the loss, Cedar Crest continues to improve their offensive execution and while their defense gets better with each game.
