Sweet Briar, VA - At the Thayer Classic hosted by Sweet Briar  College on Saturday, the Falcons started off the 2012 season strong with a 7-2 win over the hosts.

Cedar Crest outshot the Vixens by a nearly three-to-one margin, and newcomer Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen) had five goals, three of them unassisted. Brittany Hartman (Myerstown, PA/Eastern Lebanon County) had a goal and two assists, and newcomers Viviana Samite and Jessica Sanbeg (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley) connected for the final goal.

Senior goalie Lindsay Harrison (Hanover, PA/Littlestown) had 7 saves in just over 54 minutes in goal.

Cedar Crest starts the season at 1-0 and Sweet Briar at 0-1. On Sunday, the Falcons will face Rivier University at Sweet Briar at 11:00 AM.
