Allentown, PA - In the unofficial Eastern Pennsylvania Women's College Field Hockey Championship at Cedar Crest on Tuesday, the Falcons suffered a heartbreaking 4-3 overtime loss to non-conference opponent Bryn Mawr College.

Cedar Crest drew first blood on a goal by Erin Studer (Kent, CT/Housatonic Valley Regional) from a Wendy Martin (Mt. Pleasant Hills, PA/Midd-West) assist just over five minutes into the game. The Owls, however, would take a 2-1 lead with two unassisted goals in a span of less than two minutes. The game settled into a defensive battle for the rest of the half, until Cedar Crest tied the score at 2-2 with a goal from Jessica Sanbeg (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley) assisted by Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen) just before halftime.

Things looked good for the Falcons when Sanbeg notched another goal, this time on a Lauren Salge (Robbinsville, NJ/Allentown) assist, midway through the second half. But Cedar Crest was unable to hold off Bryn Mawr's offense, allowing the game-tying goal with just over 7:00 remaining. Unable to score on two penalty corners in the final minute of regulation, the Falcons ended up in overtime but saw the game slip away when the Owls hit the game-winner just over two minutes into the period.

Senior goalie Lindsay Harrison (Hanover, PA/Littlestown) had 14 saves in a complete game. Sanbeg had four shots and two goals.

Cedar Crest is now 3-4 overall on the season and 0-1 in the CSAC. Bryn Mawr improves to 5-2 and is 0-2 in the Centennial. Next up for the Falcons is a home game against King's on Thursday, September 27th at 4:00 PM.
