Allentown, PA - At home on Saturday, the only number larger than the Pennsylvania College of Technology's nine-goal winning margin was the number of players they put on the field - an amazing 22 Wildcats saw time in the Falcons' 9-0 non-conference loss.
Such depth is particulary vexing to Cedar Crest, who are still saddled with a short bench due to injuries.

The WIldcats lived up to their nickname, running the Falcons ragged and scoring regularly. Cedar Crest put up a valiant effort, but just could not get the shots or the defensive stops they needed. Penn Tech dominated the game offensively with five goals in the first half and four more in the second. The Wildcats' Valeria Passalacqua had a hat trick.

Still, there were some welcome sparks of offense for the Falcons, who had three shots on goal to the Wildcats' 18. Hopefully the young Cedar Crest team is beginning to gel.

Always solid, senior Daniella Mendez (Cedar Grove, NJ/Montclair Kimberly Academy) had nine saves.

At 0-4, the Falcons are still searching for their first win, and haven't begun Colonial States Athletic Conference play. Penn Tech is 2-1. Next up, Cedar Crest  will host WIlson College on Wednesday, September 12th, at 4:00 PM.
