The Cedar Crest College women's basketball team opened up this week with another tough loss to Gwynedd-Mercy 87-26.
The Falcons ran into trouble from the the beginning, heading into half time down 41-12. The second half was more of the same for the Falcons (2-16, 1-9) as they were outscored 46-14.
For Gwynedd-Mercy Jordan Dominic led all scorers with a double-double dropping in 20 points and 11 rebounds. Shea Wassel also chipped in with 15 points and seven rebounds for the victors. As a team the Griffins shot 83.3% from the free throw line and 48.6% from the field.

Silver Spring, MD/John F. Kennedy HS) led Cedar Crest with eight total points to go along with her six rebounds.
Megan Demutis (Norristown PA/Kennedy-Kenrick Catholic) was second on the team in scoring tonight with six points and two rebounds. As a team, the Falcons shot an even 50% from the free throw line and just 26.8% from the field.
The difference maker for tonights game was the Griffins shooting 37% from beyond the arc while Cedar Crest shot just 9.1%.
The Griffins inprove to 11-6 overall and 7-1 in the CSAC, while Cedar Crest falls to 2-16 overall and 1-9 in the CSAC. Up next for the Falcons will be an away game as they travel to Marywood University on Wednesday night, game time is set for 7 pm.
