Cedar Crest College (2-17, 1-10) fell 68-31 at the hands of Marywood University (11-7, 8-1).
Hoping to avoid a 10 game losing streak, the Cedar Crest Falcons would once again fall behind from the start looking at a 37- 12 at halftime.
The second half would be better for the Falcons, as
Megan DeMutis (
Norristown, PA/Kennedy-Kenrick Catholic HS) and
Kayleigh Keegan (
Blairstown, NJ/Belvidere HS) would both find their shot and lead the team in scoring with 8 a piece. DeMutis also came up big on the boards grabbing six defensive rebounds and totaling seven for the game, while sophomore guard
Denyell Spingola (
East Haddam, CT/Nathan Hale-Ray HS) also chipped in with seven boards.
Amber Wehry (
Klingerstown, PA/Tri-Valley Jr/Sr HS) got involved with four assists, seven points and 5 rebounds.
For Marywood, Maggie Presnal finished with a game high 13 points and teammate Morgann Haduck finished with 11 poitns to go with her four rebounds.
The Falcons saw improvement in their game despite the loss, shooting 50% from the free throw line, and improving to 33.3% shooting from beyond the arc. The Falcons also saw their highest point output in the last seven days, scoring the 31 points, the most since their loss to Keystone College on the 16th.
The Falcons now have some time to rest while they wait until the 26th for their next game where they will once again be on the road at Immaculata University for another CSAC conference battle scheduled for 1:00 PM.
