Scranton, PA

Fans were shielded from the cold and cloudy weather at the Riverfront Sports Complex as the Cedar Crest Field Hockey team battled the Giants of Keystone College in Scranton, PA. The Falcons put up an aggressive fight in the first half, but the Giants would still take the win 0-9 from the Falcons.

The Falcons fought hard in the first half of game play with sophomore Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen) taking 3 shots against the Keystone goalkeeper with 2 of them on goal. The first half would end 0-5 in favor of the Giants. A breakdown after half time would let the Giants score 4 more goals against the Falcons. Goalkeeper Kaitlyn Bredlinger had 19 saves and Rachel Stump (Fleetwood, PA/Fleetwood) had one defensive save to wrap up the game.

The Falcons drop 0-5 in the CSAC, 0-16 overall while the Giants improve 4-11 overall. Up next, the Falcons will travel to Baltimore, MD for their conference matchup against Notre Dame of Maryland University on Saturday, October 26th at 1:00pm.
