Senior Amber Wehry (Klingerstown, PA/Tri-Valley Jr/Sr) and sophomore Kayleigh Keggan (Blairstown, NJ/Belvidere) were both voted team captains for the 2013-14 basketball season.  "This is well deserved," expressed Ty Taylor Falcon Head Coach, "Amber and Kayleigh have been committed to the program since day one and it is nice to see that their teammates recognized that level of commitment by their votes." 

Wehry returns for her senior season having played in 73 games and amassing 911 total career points averaging 12.479 points per game.   In 2012-13, Wehry set career records for her season totals in free throw attempts (90), makes (74) and percentage (82%).  Over her first three seasons, Wehry's career free throw percentage is 77%.

As a freshman, Keggan had modest numbers with 126 total points for the season, a 5.25 per game average in 24 games played.  She shot 23 for 32 from the free throw line for 71% which was third best on the team.

"Both players know that they will be counted on, in the classroom and on the court this season," said Taylor, "we aren't just asking them to be vocal leaders when necessary, but to consistently be leaders through their work ethic and leading by example at all times."  Taylor continued, "Leadership is easy when you are winning and everything is going well, but what kind of leader are you when the team starts to struggle during difficult moments and stretches.  That's going to be their legacy as captains."
