The Falcons hosted the defending conference champions Gwynedd-Mercy College in their home opener this morning.

Cedar Crest came out on fire and very agressive.  Vivianna Samite (Oakridge, NJ/Jefferson Twp) and Amy Frey (Hellertown, PA/Saucon Valley) would both finish with one goal a piece heading into half time. The Falcons finished with six total shots on goal, and nine shots for the first half.  

The second half would be more of the same for the Falcons, with Samite scoring two more to total three goals on the day, while Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen High School), Krysten Gillan (Maple Shade, NJ/Maple Shade H.S.), Chelsea Thompson (Coatesville, PA/Collegium Charter School), and Kim Katsigianis (Amherst, NH/Souhegan) would all finish with three ground balls.  Katsigianis would also finish with 17 saves on the day.

Overall the Falcons fall to 0-7 overall and 0-3 in the CSAC, while Gwynedd-Mercy improves to 3-5 and 2-0 in the CSAC.

Cedar Crest is off for Easter and will host Immaculata University on April 4th and 4:00 PM.
