The Cedar Crest Field Hockey Team traveled to the Bryn Mawr College Tournament to play the Owls of Bryn Mawr College. The Falcons battled the Owls early on as Bryn Mawr took the first goal of the game and kept a 7-0 lead in the first half. The duel between the Falcons and the Owls sparked heated play in the second half. Cedar Crest remained united in the final half of game play with innovative ball movement and excellent communication. With two more goals made by the Owls, the Falcons answered by hitting the back of the cage with a goal by Erin Studer (Kent, CT/Housatonic Valley Regional), assisted by Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen). 

Game one concluded with Erin Studer (Kent, CT/Housatonic Valley Regional)'s first goal of the 2013 season with shots on goal made by Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen) and Viviana Samite. Sophomore goaltender Kaitlyn Bredlinger saved 12 shots on goal.

Cedar Crest will take on St. Mary's University of Maryland on Sunday, Sept. 8, in the 11:00am Consolation Game of the 2013 Bryn Mawr College Field Hockey Tournament.
