The Cedar Crest College Basketball team had things clicking for them tonight as they took the court against non-conference foe Valley Forge Christian.
The Falcons had things going for them in the first half as they would out muscle and out play the Patriots. Â The Falcons would outscore the Patriots 23-9 their biggest lead of the season. Â
Amber Wehry (Klingerstown, PA/Tri-Valley Jr/Sr) led all Falcons with eight first half points while freshman
Taylor Osley (Allentown, PA/Louis E. Dieruff High School) added six. Â The Falcons out rebounded their foe 15-11 in the first half.
The second half was more of the same for the Falcons as
Breonna Lewis (Abingdon, MD/Sovereign Grace Homeschool) led the way with 11 second half points while Wehry chipped in with another eight. Â "The biggest difference in tonight's game was our shooting from the line" said Head Coach
Ty Taylor "We scored 19 points from the line in the second half alone, that's where you win games". Â The Falcons outscored the Patriots 19-2 from the charity strip and out scored them 22-2 for the game.
The Falcons now run their winning streak to two games and improve 3-11 overall and remain at 1-5 in the CSAC. Â The Falcons will travel on Saturday as they pick back in conference play.
