Allentown, PA
Still looking for their first conference win of the season, the Cedar Crest College Field Hockey team hosted Notre Dame University of Maryland this afternoon.  For the Falcons, senior
Jessica Sanbeg (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley) led the team in shots with four while junior
Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen) finished with three and
Chelsea Thompson (Coatesville, PA/Collegium Charter School) and
Hannah Gouck (Kintnersville, PA/Palisades) each finished with a shot.  Gouck would also finish with one shot on goal while Sanbeg and Rodenberger would each finish with two shots on goal.
Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen) would start the scoring for the Falcons as she would net the first goal of the game for Cedar Crest with just six minutes left in play.
Jessica Sanbeg (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley) would follow suit and less than two minutes later put a shot in for the Falcons who would tie the game with four minutes remaining.
Battling back and forth the Falcons defense would hold as Overtime drew near, but with less than 60 seconds left Notre Dame would find the back of the net to take the lead 3-2 and the game.
The Falcons now sit at 0-10 and 0-3 in the CSAC and will travel to Gwynedd Mercy on the 14th.
