FIELD HOCKEYRachel Stump (Fleetwood, PA/Fleetwood), who has had a very successful season climbing to the top spot in Defensive Saves and is now 1st All-Time with 15 Career Defensive Saves. Â Stump is currently also one defensive save back from setting the single season record in defensive saves where she currently has 10 this season, one behind the record which was set by Jessica Millar back in 2012. Â On top of that, as a team the Cedar Crest College Field Hockey team currently ranks 2nd in the NCAA Division III as a team with 27 defensive saves, one behind fellow women's college Sweet Briar located in Virginia.
Other players that rank in the Top 75 include Junior
Vivianna Samite (Oakridge, NJ/Jefferson Twp.) who is 33rd overall in the NCAA D-III in defensive saves with 5, and teammates
Samantha VanBeers (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley) and
Selena Contreras (Catasauqua, PA/Catasauqua) both sit at 67th overall with three defensive saves a piece. Â In goal, freshman
Andi Dargis (East Hampton, NY/East Hampton) is currently ranked 68th in D-III in Saves Per Game, a category the Falcons finished 1st in 2013, Dargis currently averages 6.42 Saves Per Game.
As a team, the Falcons Field Hockey team has finished in the top five in single game Defensive Saves with six saves twice. Â Once against Wilson College on September 9th, and again against Moravian College on September 17th.
The Cedar Crest College Field Hockey team will wrap up the 2014-2015 campaign on October 29th, at Neumann University.
