Barry Scores in Final Home Game, Falcons play to Tie with Giants

Allentown, PA- The Cedar Crest Soccer team finished their last home game of the season with a double overtime tie against Keystone College.

In the first half; Senior Captain, Kim Barry (Greentown, PA/Wallenpaupack Area), scored on her last appearance on home turf, as she pummeled a shot 20 yards out into the net, past the Giants goalkeeper in the 6th minute. Both teams would continue battling for the remainder of the half, with no more goals scored before the end of the half.

The second half would be a battle between both teams, as shots kept flying equally amongst the Falcons and the Giants. The Giants however would find the net first in this half to equalize in the 83rd minute. Neither team would score again after this, forcing the game into overtime.

Overtime would be uneventful, as neither team would score or have any great goal scoring opportunities. This would end the game in a 1-1 tie.

With the tie, the Falcons now hold an overall record of 4-11-2, and 2-6-1 in CSAC play. They return to the field on Saturday October 25th as they travel to Immaculata, PA to take on Immaculata University at 3pm.
