With just two games remaining, the Cedar Crest College Field Hockey team took to the road in a CSAC showdown with the Pacers of Marywood University. Â The Falcons would be out-scored 7-1 in the first half, but would step up the defense in the second half, allowing just three goals in the final 35 minutes.
For the Falcons,
Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen) connected with her ninth goal of the year as
Jessica Sanbeg (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley) would collect the assist, her third of her senior season. Â Freshman
Kailen Moyer (Lenhartsville, PA/Kutztown Area) finished the day with two shots, both on goal, while Sanbeg would finish with five, four of which on goal, and Rodenberger would finish with a season high eight, with five on goal.
In the goal for the Falcons, sophomore
Selena Contreras (Catasauqua, PA/Catasauqua) collected eight more saves, totaling 54 for the season.
The Falcons fall to 0-6 in the CSAC and will travel to Neumann on the 29th to wrap up the 2014 Field Hockey season.
