Looking to continue their current conference winning streak, the Cedar Crest College Falcons traveled to Radnor, PA to take on the Cavs of Cabrini College.
The Falcons ran into a Cavs team that had been off for nine days after the winter weather that had recently affected the area. Â The time off did not show for the Cavs whose tough defense held the Falcons to just 18 first half points with
Kayleigh Keggan (Blairstown, NJ/Belvidere) leading the Falcons with six first half points and senior
Amber Wehry (Klingerstown, PA/Tri-Valley Jr/Sr) collecting five points in the first half. Â Wehry also finished 3-4 from the free throw line leading the Falcons from the line.
The second half saw more offense from the Falcons including Wehry collecting 14 second half points and teammate and junior
Breonna Lewis (Abingdon, MD/Sovereign Grace Homeschool) grabbing ten second half rebounds. Â Wehry and Lewis would also team up to shoot a perfect 7-7 from the charity strip. Â Freshman
Taylor Osley (Allentown, PA/Louis E. Dieruff High School) would also chip in four second half points to push the Falcons for 25 total second half points.
Cedar Crest falls to 6-14 overall and 4-8 in the CSAC. Â The Falcons will next host Centenary College on February 12th in Lees Gymnasium at 7:00 pm.
