February is, "Play 4 Kay" month.  Every NCAA Women's Basketball game played in the month of February is an opportunity for us to bring awareness to the impact breast cancer has on our families and communities.
 
FACTS ABOUT BREAST CANCER IN THE UNITED STATES *
·       One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.
·       Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women.
·       Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death among women.
·       Each year it is estimated that over 220,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with
breast cancer and more than 40,000 will die.
·       Although breast cancer in men is rare, an estimated 2,150 men will be diagnosed with breast
cancer and approximately 410 will die each year.

Below are our remaining home games for the season, we hope that you are able to join us we remember
our loved ones and celebrate survivors of breast cancer. 

Wednesday, Febrary 12th    vs. Centenary College           at 7:00 p.m.        "Breast Cancer Awareness"
Health & Wellness will provide informational brochures on from the Susan G. Komen for a Cure Foundation.

Saturday, February 15th        vs. Marywood University     at 1:00 p.m.         "Honoring Survivors"
We would like to recognize friends, family and members of our community who are survivors.  Their names
will be placed in our game day program and will be recognized at half-time. Please forward the full name and
# of years as a survivor to tktaylor@cedarcrest.edu no later than 2/14 to ensure that names are included in
the program.

Monday, February 17th         vs. Rosemont College           at 7:00 p.m.           "In Memory Of"
Everyone who has lost someone in their fight against breast cancer, will have the name(s) of their loved ones
placed in our game day program and a photo placed on the wall of Lees Hall Gymnasium on a special pink
Falcon logo. Please forward the full name and photo (optional) to tktaylor@cedarcrest.edu by 2/14 to ensure
 inclusion in the game day program.

Wednesday, February 19th  vs. Bryn Athyn                   at 7:00 p.m.                 "Pretty in Pink Night"
We are asking all fans to wear pink – the color representative of breast cancer awareness.
 
Come out for a worthy cause and cheer on your FALCONS!!!
