Box Score Allentown Pa- The Cedar Crest Falcons continued conference play today as they came up against a strong Rosemont team at home.
The Falcons would come out in the first half nervous, giving the Ravens a chance to score early in the 3rd minute off of a run of play. The Falcons would recover and find chances to score but were unable to strike home before the Ravens netted yet another one in the 25th minute. The Falcons wouldn't put their heads down then, as they continued to attack, they found success in the 36th minute when
Kim Barry (Greentown, PA/Wallenpaupack Area) neatly passed a ball to
Courtney Long (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh) who showed why she is now tied as the leading goal-scorer in the history of the program, as she finessed the ball into the back of the net.Â
The second half would be a back and forth battle as both teams were trying to up their goal tally. Freshman defender,
Julianne Martone (Hackettstown, NJ/Hackettstown ) had some great moments of excellence as she ensured that the Ravens didn't extend their lead. Neither of the teams would score in the second half, leaving the score at 2-1 in favor of the Ravens .
With the loss, the Falcons now drop to a 2-6-1 record overall and 0-2 in CSAC play. They will be on the road again this Saturday as they take on Wellesley College in Boston. Â
