Falcons Fall in Non-Conference Match Up

ABINGTON, Pa.---The Cedar Crest College basketball team fell, 59-38, in a non-conference match up against Penn State Abington Tuesday night.

The Falcons were led by guard duo freshman Tenille Stewart (Penssauken, NJ/Pennsauken) and junior Taylor Osley (Allentown, PA/Louis E. Dieruff High School). Stewart scored 13 points and three rebounds while Osley put up eight points and grabbed four rebounds on the night. Senior forward Kayleigh Keggan (Blairstown, NJ/Belvidere) brought down four rebounds, six points and one assist as freshman forward Rianna Kinard (Clinton, MD/Surrattsville High) led with three steals, two assists, five points and four rebounds.

Sophomore forward Shameca Thompson had a team-high of eight rebounds while scoring three points while freshman forwards Jaime Matson (West Milford, NJ /West Milford) and Katherina Pierre (Middletown, NY /John S. Burke Catholic) brought down five and three rebounds respectively.

The next game for the Black and Gold is Thursday, November 19 with tip-off set for 7:00 p.m. in the Falcons first home game in Lees Gymnasium against non-conference Bryn Athyn.
