Box Score BINGHAMTON, N.Y.--- Every student-athletes looks for different things to fit their needs when picking a college, some like a small school setting such as what our Falcons receive, but the athlete in all of them will always dream of what the Division I experience would be like. Well our Cedar Crest College basketball team got their wish, when they travel to Division I Binghamton University in a cross over game as the Falcons were defeated, 74-18, on Saturday afternoon.
"This game was all about the experience for our athletes," commented Head Coach
Ty Taylor. "For the team to play in this kind of venue, against an up and coming team and in front of this kind of crowd is a great opportunity that will carry over for the rest of the season."
The Falcons managed to put up 18 points against the Bearcats, freshman guard
Tenille Stewart (Penssauken, NJ/Pennsauken) led the team with seven points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal. Freshman forward
Rianna Kinard (Clinton, MD/Surrattsville High) scored four points while freshman forward
Katherina Pierre (Middletown, NY /John S. Burke Catholic) score five point and sophomore forward
Shameca Thompson scored two for the Falcons.
The next game for Cedar Crest is Sunday, November 22 at home against Rutgers-Camden as the team will be honoring Amber Wehry with her 1,000 point banner with the revealing at 1:45 p.m. and tip-off slated for 2:00 p.m. in Lees Gymnasium.Â
