ALLENTOWN, Pa.--- The Cedar Crest College basketball team honored former forward Amber Wehry with her 1,000 point banner as the team fell, 65-34, in a non-conference game to the Scarlet Raptors of Rutgers-Camden.
"Our young players are still adjusting to the college game," commented Head Coach
Ty Taylor. "The process is going to take time, each and every game is an opportunity for us to get better, which I believe we are."
Sophomore forward
Shameca Thompson grabbed 10 rebounds while freshman guard
Tenille Stewart (Penssauken, NJ/Pennsauken) scored 11 points, three rebounds and two assists. Junior guard
Taylor Osley (Allentown, PA/Louis E. Dieruff High School) and senior forward
Kayleigh Keggan (Blairstown, NJ/Belvidere) both tossed in nine points and had two assists a piece while
Keggan pulled in five rebounds on the afternoon. Freshman guard
Rianna Kinard (Clinton, MD/Surrattsville High) had four points, two assists and one block.
The next game for the basketball team is on Tuesday, November 24 vs. Goucher College at 6:00 p.m. in a non-conference game in Lees Gymnasium.
