Allentown, PA
The Falcons opened up the month of February playing host to Colonial States Athletic Conference foe Marywood Pacers. Coming into the game the Falcons sat in 9
th overall with two CSAC conference wins. The Pacers, who came into today's game in 4
th place overall with six CSAC conference wins.
The Falcons would open up the first half falling behind early 13-2 in the first five minutes of play with
Meghan Gregory (Buckhorn, NM/Cliff High School) collecting the only good field goal for the Falcons. The Pacers, who were running the full court press would continue to force Falcon turnovers resulting in multiple points off of turnovers.  The Falcons would not go quietly, literally. Led by
Breonna Lewis (Abingdon, MD/Sovereign Grace Homeschool) and
Kayleigh Keggan (Blairstown, NJ/Belvidere), the Falcons defense would be extremely vocal causing several Pacer turnovers in the process. After falling behind by 11 in the first five minutes, the Falcons would allow only eight over the next five. For the Falcons, Gregory, Lewis and
Miranda Schaeffer (Newport, PA/Newport) would all finish with two points, while
DeJanet Lantion (Silver Spring, MD/John F. Kennedy) would add a single point totaling the first half for the Falcons. As a team, the Falcons collected six points in the paint and two points off of turnovers while adding four second chance points. The Falcons bench would also add two first half points.
The Falcons would open up the second half with more energy and excitement than one would expect on a Tuesday night opening with a 4-0 run to open up the half. The Falcons would continue their hot run, collecting five more points through the next five minutes thanks in large part to Lantions big three pointer with a defenders hand in her face. Sophomore
Taylor Osley (Allentown, PA/Louis E. Dieruff High School) would continue to be the spark in the night for the Falcons as she would add a big three pointer, and then connect on two free throws to bring the Falcons second half total to 26 with nine minutes to play. Despite the tough Cedar Crest defense the Pacers would continue to push the pace and take advantage of several fast break opportunities. Individually for the Falcons, Lewis and Lantion both totaled 10 points each while Osley would finish with eight.
With the loss, the Falcons fall to 3-15 overall and 2-8 in the CSAC while the Pacers improves to 11-6 overall and 7-3 in the CSAC. The Falcons will have to rest quickly this evening as they will welcome the #11 team in the CSAC, in Baptist Bible College. Game time is set for 7:00 PM.
