Box Score BETHANY, W.Va.--- The Cedar Crest College Field Hockey team traveled to non-conference Bethany College for the first of two games of the Bethany Tournament in West Virginia as the Falcons fell 5-1 on Friday night.
"I'm pleased with the improvements I am seeing each game," commented Head Coach
Kellina Yarrish. "I would have liked see more action at the offensive third, but our defense held really strong and had effective communication. They had some great out letting and strong clears. We had a few crucial defensive saves that gave them a burst of motivation and intensity that kept them going."
In the seventh minute, sophomore midfielder,
Hannah Gouck (Kintnersville, PA/Palisades) scored the only goal for the Falcons with no assist. Senior forward
Emily Rodenberger also added one shot on goal for the Falcons but it was saved.
