ASTON, Pa.: The Colonial States Athletic Conference has named 576 student-athletes to the Fall 2015 CSAC All-Academic Team. The CSAC All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a grade-point average of 3.20 or higher during their semester of competition, while using a full season of eligibility as determined by the NCAA.
"Each one of these student-athletes should be commended," said CSAC Commissioner
Jennifer Dubow. "It is great to see that so many have excelled not only athletically, but also academically. These student-athletes truly demonstrate the NCAA Division-III philosophy of enjoying a full collegiate experience, and they more than deserve this recognition."
The Cedar Crest soccer team led the way with 10 players making the team including seniors forward
Courtney Long (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh), and defender
Kristen Spencer (Bangor, PA/Pen Argyl Area), junior midfielder
Kim Incontrera (Staten Island, N.Y./Susan E. Wagner), sophomores defender
Julianne Martone (Hackettstown, NJ/Hackettstown ), and midfielder
Kari Vanderslice (Clementon, NJ/Highland Regional), while goalkeeper
Morgan Maddock (Brick, N.J./Brick Memorial High School), midfielder
Ashley Heffelfinger (Allentown, Pa./Parkland High School), midfielder
Kassandra Miller (Fallington, Pa./Pensbury Senior High School), forward
Alexandra Zoda (Poughkeepsie, N.Y. /Roy C Ketcham Senior High School) and goalkeeper
Shelby Szoke (White Haven, Pa./Crestwood High School) made up the freshman class.
The field hockey and volleyball team both had five players meet the criteria. Senior forwards
Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen) and
Allyse Salandy (Easton, Pa./Easton Area ), juniors defender
Rachel Stump (Fleetwood, PA/Fleetwood) and midfielder
Samantha VanBeers (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley) and sophomore midfielder
Hannah Gouck (Kintnersville, PA/Palisades). The volleyball team had senior defensive specialist
Kimlynn Tran (Allentown, Pa./Louis E. Dieruff), junior opposite hitter
Maggie Olock (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty High School), outside hitters
Kaylee Martinez (Hemet, CA/West Valley),
Molly Schnaubelt (San Diego, CA/University City) and defensive specialist
Deja Lewis (Philadelphia, PA/Abraham Lincoln) from the sophomore class.
The tennis team had three player named while the cross country team had two student-athletes.
Kristina Litonjua (Easton, Pa./Easton Area High School) and
Marie Spuches (/Berwick Area Senior High School) from the freshman class join senior
Kyleen Sisson (Laceyville, PA/Elk Lake) from the tennis squad and freshman runners
Tiffany Cuth (Walnutport, Pa.) and
Brittney Bonser (Kunkletown, Pa./Pleasent Valley) round out the list for the Falcons.
