Box Score ALLENTOWN, Pa.--- The Cedar Crest College field hockey team dropped to Colonial States Athletic Conference foe Cabrini University
SCORE on Saturday afternoon.
In the first half, Cabrini took a quick 1-0 lead after scoring off of a rebounded save by freshman goal keeper
Cassandra Reijgers (Hollis, NH/Hollis Brookline).
Reijgers had three more saves before Cabrini found the back of the net again, making the score 2-0. Juniors
Elizabeth Lamm (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) and
Hannah Gouck (Kintnersville, PA/Palisades) took shots that went just wide of the net. Cabrini scored off of a corner, giving them the lead 3-0 going into halftime.
Reijgers tallied 12 saves in the first half.
In the 35 minute of play, freshman defender
Jennie Fritz (Walnutport, Pa./Northern Lehigh) put one on the board for Cedar Crest after a scramble in front of the goal, making the score 3-1. Freshman
Alexx Miller (Mechanicsburg, Pa/Mechanicsburg Area) took a shot for the Falcons, shooting just wide of the goal. Cabrini scored three more times, making the final score 6-1. Freshman goalie
Emma Ryan (Sterling, Va./Park View) had one save for Cedar Crest.
The next game for the Falcons is against fellow CSAC member Keystone College at home on October 19. The game is set to begin at 4:00 PM.
