Box Score LA PLUME, Pa. - The Cedar Crest College basketball team was defeated on Wednesday evening 48-63 in their first Colonial States Athletic Conference match against Keystone College.
At the end of the first quarter, the Falcons were in the lead 15-10. Going into halftime, the score was 22-29 with Cedar Crest trailing Keystone by five. After the third quarter, the Falcons were 10 points behind Keystone with a score of 36-46. Cedar Crest netted another 12 points in the fourth quarter, but ultimately fell to Keystone 48-63.
Freshman forward Sienne Kemmerer (Columbia, Pa./J.P. McCaskey ) tallied 12 points, eight rebounds and had a team-high of five blocks for the Falcons. Sophomore guard Tenille Stewart (Pennsauken, NJ/Pennsauken) netted 12 points and brought down one rebound. Freshman guard Sylera Weller (Lancaster, Pa./J.P . McCaskey) had a team high of five rebounds and scored 11 points for Cedar Crest.
Junior forward Shemeca Thompson (Bridgeport, CT/Warren Harding) had five points and five rebounds. Senior Taylor Osley (Allentown, PA/Louis E. Dieruff High School) tallied four points, brought down five rebounds and led the Falcons in assists with four. Geminii Cabrera (Reading, Pa./Berks Catholic), a freshman forward, netted three points, two rebounds and one assist.
The Falcons will hit the road on Saturday, December 3 as they take on CSAC-foe Cairn University. The game is set to begin at 1:00 PM.
