Box Score NEW YORK, N.Y.--- The Cedar Crest College soccer team defeated non-conference John Jay College, 1-0, on Monday evening.

"We played terrific soccer," commented Head Coach Sarah Wolcott. "I am so proud of how hard we worked. We came together as a team tonight, which was beautiful to watch. This game was a lot of fun to be a part of, I am extremely happy and confident with our level of play heading into conference play."

In the first half the Falcons had six shots, but went into halftime scoreless. In the second half the team fired off nine shots. In the eighth minutes of play during the second half junior defender Caitlyn Mann (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin) dribbled her way into the box and found the back of the net for the lone goal of the match to help the team improve to 4-2 on the season. Freshman Cara Montanye (Pine Bush, NY/Pine Bush Central ) made four saves for her second win of the year.

The next game for the Black and Yellow is on Saturday, September 24 at 4:00 p.m. in a Colonial States Athletic Conference game.
