Box Score ALLENTOWN, Pa.---The Cedar Crest College soccer team hosted Colonial States Athletic Conference foe Keystone College in a 2-2 double over time draw on Tuesday afternoon.
"We came out and worked so hard today," stated Head Coach
Sarah Wolcott. "We were on the same page and synced up together well. Keystone came out strong and we matched their intensity. We dug and clawed our way back from a two deficit, and that says a lot. I'm really proud of our girls and how hard they worked together."
In the first half the Giants took a 2-0 lead by the 29

Kari Vanderslice (Clementon, NJ/Highland Regional) knocked in the goal first goal for the Falcons at 30:20 with the assist from sophomore midfielder
Kassandra Miller (Fallington, Pa./Pensbury Senior ). The next goal was in the 36
th minute by
Miller who headed in her shot off of a corner kick by senior forward
Allison Rittle (Fredericksburg, PA/Northern Lebanon).
The teams fought feverishly to take the lead with both teams firing off shots, the Falcons outshot the Giants, 8-to-7 in the second half and with both teams getting a shot off in each half of overtime. Sophomore goalkeeper
Shelby Szoke (White Haven, Pa./Crestwood ) started the game for Cedar Crest making one save when freshman goalkeeper
Cara Montanye (Pine Bush, NY/Pine Bush Central ) came in at the 34 minute mark making seven saves the rest of the game.
The next match for the team is during Fall Family weekend on Saturday, October 1 at 3:30 p.m. as they host Notre Dame of Maryland University in their annual Think Pink game.
