Box Score ALLENTOWN, Pa.---The Cedar Crest College Falcons held Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent Gwynedd Mercy University at bay with a one point lead for three and a half minutes in the first quarter before facing an uphill battle with a final score of 65-33 in favor of the Griffins.
Connecting on offense was an issue for Cedar Crest on the night, the shots were there, but wouldn't fall in for the home team. Freshman guard/forward
Geminii Cabrera (Reading, Pa./Berks Catholic) led with eight points grabbing 10 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal. Junior forward
Shemeca Thompson (Bridgeport, CT/Warren Harding) played a physical game bringing down 11 rebounds and putting up six baskets on the night.
Sophomore guard
Tenille Stewart (Pennsauken, NJ/Pennsauken) also contributed six points and eight rebounds. Senior guard
Taylor Osley (Allentown, PA/Louis E. Dieruff High School) and freshman forward
Venus Cabrera (Reading,Pa./Bucks Catholic) both had five points apiece while Osley handled 10 boards and three assists for the Falcons while V. Cabrera had two boards and one steal.
The next game for Cedar Crest is on Saturday, January 21 in a CSAC match-up with tip-off slated for 1:00 p.m. in Lees Hall.
