Box Score LEICESTER, Mass.—The Cedar Crest College field hockey team won their second straight game against Becker College by a final score of 4-1 on Sunday afternoon.

The Falcons jumped out quickly as they earned a penalty corner 30 seconds into the game, after three shots the team earned another corner. With an insert from freshman midfielder Mercedes Melo (Lehighton, Pa./Palmerton Area) led to senior midfielder Elizabeth Lamm (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) who netted her fourth goal of the season. The Black and Yellow managed eight more shots before their next goal. Sophomore midfielder Makenzie Kistler (Walnutport, Pa./Northampton) followed up her own shot for her second goal of the season to extend the lead, 2-0. Freshman forward Annalise Unger (Burlington, VT /Rice Memorial ) scored her fourth goal of the year for the third goal of the game to head into halftime.

Cedar Crest had nine shots before the team scored their final goal, to extend the lead Lamm scored her fifth goal of the year, and her second of the game at the 56:57 minute mark on a penalty shot. After 70 minutes sophomore goalkeeper Cassandra Reijgers (Hollis, NH/Hollis Brookline) made three saves for her third win.

The next game for the Falcons is on Wednesday, September 4 against non-conference Hood College at 5:00 p.m. at the FalconPlex.
