Box Score ALLENTOWN, Pa. ---The Cedar Crest College soccer team welcomed fellow Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent Clarks Summit University Tuesday afternoon at the FalconPlex where the Falcons defeated the Defenders,8-0.

Freshman forward Erica D'Angelo received the ball at half field from a defender, she took on her defender going straight to goal with the keeper closing in she placed the ball past the her for the first goal of the match, just six minutes into the game. Freshman midfielder Adrianna Tennis (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove ) played the feet of senior forward Caitlyn Mann (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin), Mann then took the ball to goal, drawing the keeper near side would finish the ball to the far side. The third goal for the Falcons was by sophomore defender Kimberly Rosano (Belvidere, NJ/Belvidere), D'Angelo had a breakaway that the goalkeeper initially saved, but with her clear Rosano had a wide open net to put in from 30 yards out.

The Falcons scored four minutes into the half, with a ball played into the six to freshman forward Rebecca Fox (Olean, N.Y./Olean) who placed the ball by the goalkeeper for the fourth goal. A cross from the sideline by senior midfielder Katia Olsen (Edison, NJ/J.P. Stevens) found D'Angelo inside the six for the finish. The Falcons found the back of the net again in the 61st minute as Fox was on the attack inside the 18 with a pass into the six to the feet of senior midfielder Jacklyn Beckett the team extended the lead. Freshman forward Daria Warner (Harrisburg, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) had a breakaway to goal in the 73rd minute for a 7-0 lead. The eight goal for the Black and Yellow was a corner inserted by sophomore forward Kelsey Kehm (Trappe, Pa./Perkiomen Valley ) who found the head of senior midfielder KiraRose Olsen (Edison, NJ/J.P. Stevens) for her first goal of the season.

The next game for Cedar Crest is on Saturday, October 14 at 3:00 p.m. on the road in a CSAC battle at Gwynedd Mercy University.
