ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Cedar Crest College basketball team was beat by non conference Alvernia University 48-73 on Monday evening. 

The Golden Wolves took the first quarter 22-13. The Falcons held Alvernia to only 18 points in the second quarter, while scoring 17 of their own. Going into halftime, the Falcons trailed the Golden Wolves 30-40. Both Cedar Crest and Alvernia held each other to low scores in the third quarter, scoring 11 and seven respectively. Alvernia broke away in the fourth and final quarter to take the game 73-48.

Sophomore Geminii Cabrera (Reading, Pa./Berks Catholic) had a team high of 23 total points, adding three steals and assists, one block and six rebounds. Sylera Weller (Lancaster, Pa./J.P . McCaskey), a sophomore netted 17 total points with four assists, one block and six rebounds. 

The Falcons open Colonial States Athletic Conference play at Centenary University on Wednesday, November 29. Tipoff is set to begin at 7:00 PM.
