Box Score ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Cedar Crest College basketball team beat Colonial States Athletic Conference foe Clarks Summit University 61-54 on Saturday afternoon.
The Falcons came out strong, winning the first quarter 16-9. Clarks Summit won the second quarter 16-11, but the Falcons lead going into halftime 27-25. Cedar Crest edged out the Defenders, taking the third quarter 19-15. After going point-for-point in the fourth quarter, the Falcons came out with a 15-14 win and the overall win 61-54.
Sophomore
Sylera Weller (Lancaster, Pa./J.P . McCaskey) had a team high and game high of 34 total points while also adding five assists and five rebounds for the black and yellow.
Geminii Cabrera (Reading, Pa./Berks Catholic), a sophomore, tallied 17 total points, five assists, one steal, and brought down seven rebounds. Sophomore
Venus Cabrera (Reading,Pa./Berks Catholic) netted six total points, five rebounds and five assists. Freshman
Natasha Barber (Dallas, TX/Ranchview) had a team high of bringing down 10 rebounds while also adding four total points and five assists for Cedar Crest.
The next game for the Falcons is at nonconference Mitchell College on December 4. The game is set to begin at 6:00 PM.Â
