Box Score ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College basketball team fell 67-41 in a Colonial States Athletic Conference matchup against Centenary University on Wednesday evening.
In the first quarter, the Falcons and Cyclones went point-for-point, before Centenary pulled away for the 15-13 win. Cedar Crest would score another nine points to Centenary's 16, making the score 31-22 going into halftime. The Falcons lost 21-9 in the third quarter. In the fourth and final quarter, Centenary scored 15 points to Cedar Crest's 10, taking the overall win 67-41.
Freshman
Geminii Cabrera (Reading, Pa./Berks Catholic) led the Falcons in points with 13.
Cabrera also had three assists and four rebounds.
Taylor Osley (Allentown, PA/Louis E. Dieruff High School), a senior, netted 12 points, one steal, and two rebounds. Junior
Shemeca Thompson (Bridgeport, CT/Warren Harding) pulled down 11 rebounds, tallied three points and one assist.
Thompson had three steals for the Black and Yellow. On free throws, freshman
Alissa DiGuglielmo (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) went two for two and also brought down two rebounds for Cedar Crest.
The Falcons will take the court at home on Saturday, February 4 against CSAC-foe, Cabrini University. The game it set to begin at 1:00 PM.
