Box Score ALLENTOWN, Pa.---The Cedar Crest College soccer team traveled to Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent Rosemont College where the Falcons earned a 2-1 decision to even their CSAC record to 1-1 on Saturday afternoon.
"The sign of a good team is being able to win when you don't perform your best," commented Head Coach
Sarah Wolcott. "Our touch was off today, but we figured out a way to gut out a win. We talked at halftime about refusing to let these three points to slip through our fingers, and it may not have been the prettiest match, but we got three points. Hats have to go off to Daria for having the wherewithal to finish for us, not once, but twice. Kelsey came in and ignited a spark that gave us a much needed lift. Now we're on to the next three points."
The Falcons were on their heels from the get go, as the Ravens had nine shots with the first 15 minutes of the game. Three minutes in junior goalkeeper
Morgan Maddock (Brick, N.J./Brick Memorial High School) made her first save, the second shot was then blocked refusing to let the home on the scoreboard.
Maddock had another save, as the next shot bounced of the post. Again,
Maddock came up with the save as the next two shots for the host team were not on frame.
Maddock came up with two more saves before Cedar Crest made an offensive move. At the 19 minute mark senior midfielder
Jackalyn Beckett (New Egypt, N.J./New Egypt) took the first shot for the team, missing wide. Junior midfielder
Kassandra Miller (Fallington, Pa./Pensbury Senior ) had the teams only other shot of the half that was blocked as the teams were still at a 0-0 at halftime.
Rosemont started the second half on the hunt for the first goal of the game. Firing the first shot just under two minutes of the half that was blocked, almost two minute later they earned a corner kick that turned into another blocked shot. Freshman forward
Daria Warner (Harrisburg, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) released her first shot in the 52
nd minute that went high of the intended target. A Rosemont foul led to a shot by sophomore back
Kimberly Rosano (Belvidere, NJ/Belvidere) that went wide. Less than two minutes after her first shot, Warner took her second shot, this time she found her mark placing her shot past the goalkeeper for a 1-0 lead at 54:02.

th minute the Ravens equalized finishing a loose ball. As the home team closed in again with four shots the defense was able keep them off target, missing wide or blocking the shot.
