Falcons eliminated in Round 1 of CSAC Field Hockey Playoffs

Box Score CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. --- The Cedar Crest College Field Hockey team had their season come to an end after being defeated in the First Round of the Colonial States Athletic Conference Playoffs, 4-1 to Wilson College on Friday evening.
 
In the first half, the Phoenix would score first in the 13th minute. Cedar Crest would tie up the game with just over eight minutes remaining in the half with a shot that was blasted by junior Alexx Miller (Mechanicsburg, Pa/Mechanicsburg Area) to crash against the back of the cage. Miller's goal was assisted by junior Makenzie Kistler (Walnutport, Pa./Northampton). The game would head to the half tied at 1-1.
 
The score remained tied until the 48th minute, when Wilson would jump back on top after a goal coming off a penalty corner. The Phoenix would score the third and fourth goal of the game in the final 10 minutes to hand the Cedar Crest the loss.
 
Junior Emma Ryan (Sterling, Va./Park View) was the starting goalkeeper for the Falcons, making five saves on the nine shots she faced.
 
Cedar Crest attempted eight shots and had four go on cage in the match. The Falcons also acquired 11 penalty corners in the match.
