ROSEMONT, Pa. --- The Cedar Crest Soccer squad received a total of 12 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Awards with senior goalkeeper
Morgan Maddock (Brick, N.J./Brick Memorial High School) receiving First-Team honors as well as
Sarah Wolcott being named the 2018 Coach of the Year.
Wolcott was selected as Coach of the Year by her peers. She is the first coach from Cedar Crest women's soccer to receive this honor. This season, Wolcott led the Falcons to a 12-3 record and a 7-1 mark in the CSAC, earning the second seed in the upcoming playoffs. Now in her sixth season, The 12 wins are the most by a Cedar Crest squad since the Falcons won ten matches back in 2004.
Maddock was the only Falcon named to the CSAC First-Team, but Cedar Crest had five players named to the Second-Team and four to Honorable Mention Team.
Second-Team recipients as defenders were sophomores
Kara Brownlie (Southampton, Pa./Abington Friends School) and
Sarah Nawrocki (Minersville, Pa./Minersville), Nawrocki was also selected as Cedar Crest's represenative to the All-Sportsmanship Team. Sophomore
Daria Warner (Harrisburg, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) garnered a spot on the Second-Team as a forward while sophomore
Adrianna Tennis (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove ) and freshman
Brittney Dunleavy (Auburn, Pa./Blue Mountain) earned spots at Midfield.
Three freshman and one sophomore from Cedar Crest were selected to the CSAC Honorable Mention team, the two defenders were
Avery Huston (Levittown, Pa./Bucks County Technical) and
Michelle Yawger (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills). Earning honors at the forward position were
Kaitlyn Kozdron (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Township) and
Tess Spitler (Owrigsburg, Pa./Blue Mountain).
