LA PLUME, Pa. --- The Cedar Crest College Basketball squad suffered a 53-68 loss in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) to Keystone College in Ace Spalding Arena Thursday evening.

"We made a few costly mental errors tonight that really hurt us," commented Head Coach
Kristin Karat. "But overall our energy and effort was there."

The Falcons split the season series with the Giants and slip to 5-14 overall this season and a CSAC conference record of 4-6. The Black and Yellow found themselves playing from behind after Keystone put up a big first quarter, trailing 10-23 after the first ten minutes. Getting into a rhythm, Cedar Crest would net 17 points to Keystone's 15 and cut the lead to 11 heading into the locker rooms at 27-38. Closing in on the gap, the Falcons scored 18 coming out of the intermission, as the Giants scored 15 points, as they headed to the fourth quarter trailing by eight, 45-53. Keystone would put up 15 points for the third consecutive quarter with the Falcons scoring eight, putting the final score at 53-68.

Two strong performances by junior
Mackenzie Borger (Kresgeville, Pa./Pleasant Valley) and graduate student
Meghan Gregory (Buckhorn, NM/Cliff ) were the leaders of the night.
Borger broke her previous career-high of 20 points, by scoring 28 points in tonight's game, adding eight rebounds, five- blocks and four assists. "Mackenzie is literally putting the team on her back, and saying guys let's do this," added
Coach Karat.
Gregory recorded a double-double, her fourth of the season, with 13 points and season-high 16 rebounds, five blocked shots and three assists.

Sophomore
Jada Garrett (Dallas, TX/Ranchview) tossed in six points, five boards and a steal as sophomore
Khnaue Robinson (Newark, N.J./Great Oaks Legacy Charter) would sink four points with five rebounds, two assists and team-high two steals. Also making it in the score-line was freshman
Tania Bryant (Willingboro, N.J./Doane Academy) who added two points, three boards, two assists to close out the Cedar Crest scorers. "Our defense was on point tonight led by

The Falcons return after three-straight road games to host Wilson College to Lees Gymnasium on Wednesday, January 30. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
