ROSEMONT, Pa. --- Senior defender Alexx Miller (Mechanicsburg, Pa/Mechanicsburg Area) and freshman Kiley Marone (Mohrsville, PA/Tulpehocken High School) of the Cedar Crest Field Hockey team were recognized by the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) as the Defensive Player of the Week and an Honorable Mention on Monday afternoon.

The Falcons earned their first Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) victory of the season over Centenary University on Saturday to improve to 4-9 overall and 1-2 in conference play.

Miller, who received the Defensive Player of the Week, assisted in the Falcons back line that gave them their first CSAC victory of the season against Centenary University. Miller and the defensive unit only allowed one shot to be taken by the Cyclones in the victory and she also scored her second goal of the season on her own Senior Day.

Marone helped lift the Falcons to their first CSAC victory of the season over Centenary in the 5-0 win. Marone assisted the second goal of the game in the 19th minute and then scored a goal of her own in the 29th minute to give the Falcons a 4-0 lead going into the half. Marone leads the Falcons in scoring with 7 goals and 15 points this season.

Up next, the Falcons will travel to Lancaster Bible College on Wednesday, October 23 for another CSAC contest. First-touch is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
