PHILADELPHIA, Pa. --- The Cedar Crest College Tennis team suffered a 1-5 loss to Cairn University in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championship Game at the Legacy Youth Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon.

The Falcons and Highlanders began with the doubles flights, which had
Katherine Naples (Eau Claire, Wis./Eau Claire North) and
Ashley Wilkins (Rochester, N.H./Spaulding) fall at third-doubles, (1-8).
Chelsea Tito (Wilmington, Del./Alexis I. DuPont) and
Andrea Abdale (Philadelphia, Pa./Northeast ) were the next to finish, suffering a (4-8) loss, followed by the duo of
Mercedes Melo (Lehighton, Pa./Palmerton Area) and
Alyssa Epsaro (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty), who claimed the lone point for the Black and Yellow with a (8-4) victory. Cedar Crest would head to singles action trailing, 1-2.

In singles play,
Epsaro was defeated at second-singles, (1-6, 0-6) with
Abdale falling (1-6, 1-6) shortly after that to put the deficit at 1-4.
Naples was at six-singles and lost her point (3-6, 1-6), as the Falcons suffered a 1-5 loss. The one, three and five singles flights were unfinished as the match is played to decision, which left
Melo trailing (4-6, 1-3),
Narasimhan was leading (6-3, 5-1) and
Tito was tied one set each, (6-3, 0-6)

Cedar Crest season comes to an end, finishing  as the CSAC Runner up and an overall record of 8-6.
