BALTIMORE, Md. – The Cedar Crest College basketball team lost a 67-46 decision to Notre Dame of Maryland University on Saturday afternoon at the MBK Sports Complex in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) tilt.

Ashley Wilson (Norwalk, Conn./Norwalk) finished with a double-double, tallying a team-high 17 points and 13 rebounds to pace the Falcons (2-10 overall, 1-8 CSAC). Classmate
Jenna McDonald (Ovid, N.Y./South Seneca) compiled 11 points, two rebounds, three assists, four steals, and a block.
Cedar Crest fell behind by double digits in the first quarter and the deficit hung around 15 and got up to as many as 23 after a three-pointer from senior Adrianna Fletcher (Aberdeen, N.J.) with 4:46 to play in the first second stanza, 33-10. The Falcons were able to cut into the lead and enter the half down by 16, 39-23.
In the third period, the Gators held the Falcons to just three points on a trio of free throws. As a result, NDMU headed into the fourth quarter with a 53-26 lead.
The final frame closely contested with the teams being separated by six points, 20-14, before ending in the 21-point final, 67-46.
Senior Daija Fitchett (Baltimore, Md.) tied a game-high with 17 points to go along with 16 rebounds, two assists, and two blocks for the Gators. Fletcher knocked down five threes en route to 15 points. She also contributed five boards and three assists. Freshman Alexis Durham (Plumas Lake, Calif.) added 13 points while junior Ayana Brim (Baltimore, Md.) was the fourth Gator player in double digits with 11 points.
Cedar Crest will return home to host Wilson College on Wednesday, January 26 at 7:00 p.m. NDMU (7-8 overall, 7-4 CSAC) hits the road for a contest on Wednesday at Cairn University. The time is to be determined.
