VILLANOVA, Pa. – Seniors
Kiley Marone (Mohrsville, Pa. /Tulpehocken) and
Amber Cieri (Slatington, Pa./Northern Lehigh) of the Cedar Crest College field hockey team swept the weekly awards for the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC), as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Marone was tabbed as the CSAC Offensive Player of the Week after tallying 12 points on six goals in a 2-0 week for the Falcons. She put up four goals in a 10-1 win over Bryn Athyn and a pair in a 5-0 shutout of Lancaster Bible.
Cieri picks up CSAC Defensive Player of the Week honors as she paced the Cedar Crest defense that limited its opponents to just four total shots in the two victories. She also helped offensively for the Falcons by registering 10 points.
The Falcons (6-7 overall, 3-2 CSAC) return to the field on Thursday, October 20 at home against Drew University at 7:00 p.m.
