Soccer Falls to Bryn Athyn in CSAC Title Match

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The No. 1 seed Cedar Crest College soccer team fell to second-seeded Bryn Athyn College, 1-0, in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championship game on Saturday afternoon at the FalconPlex.

After a scoreless first half, the Lions tallied the lone goal of the contest in the 60th minute on a strike from Tournament MVP first-year Kira Bradley (Levittown, Pa.). The marker proved to be the difference as Bryn Athyn was able to hold off the Falcons in the final 30 minutes.

The Lions had 20 shots while Cedar Crest finished with 14. The Lions also had three more corners than the Falcons, 5-2.

First-year goalkeeper Chloe Munyon (Bensalem, Pa.) made seven saves in the win. Senior Lauren Makely (Lake Grove, N.Y./Sachem North) registered eight saves for Cedar Crest.

The Falcons conclude their season with a 12-4-2 overall record.
