ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College soccer team suffered a 1-0 setback to John Jay College on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at the FalconPlex.
The Bloodhounds registered the lone goal in the match in the 28
th minute. Sophomore Brooke Fontaine (Essex, Vt.) played a corner into the box that then connected with the left foot of senior Katie Healy (Merrick, N.Y.) that trickled past Falcons' senior goalkeeper
Lauren Makely (Lake Grove, N.Y./Sachem North). Graduate student Alexa Pyatsky (Mineola, N.Y.) made the margin stand, turning away two shots to record the clean sheet.
Makely kept Cedar Crest in the match, making 12 saves against 24 total shots. First-year
Lauren Davis (Oley, Pa./Oley Valley) and sophomore
MacKayla Reed (Duncansville, Pa./Hollidaysburg Area Senior) each had one shot on goal for the Falcons.
Cedar Crest (2-3-1 overall) will stay at home to host Neumann University on Wednesday, November 21 at 6:00 p.m.
