VILLANOVA, Pa. – Senior
Ashley Wilson (Norwalk, Conn./Norwalk) of the Cedar Crest College basketball team has received the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Offensive Player of the Week for the sport of women's basketball, as announced by the league office on Monday morning.
Wilson joined the 1,000-point club on Saturday in a 26-point performance against Rosemont becoming the 11th player in Cedar Crest history to score 1,000 or more points for the Falcons. This week Wilson averaged 28 points per game including a game-high 30 points vs. league-leaders Notre Dame of Maryland University.
Currently, Wilson leads the CSAC in points per game (23.7) while being Top 10 in total points scored, free throws made, field-goal percentage, free-throw percentage, 3-pointers made, steals per game, total steals, and blocked shots.
Wilson and Cedar Crest (1-10 overall, 0-8 CSAC) will stay at home and welcomes in Clarks Summit University for a 7:00 p.m. tip.
